8 October 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 8th [October 1904]. Mr Montalba came in the morning & we did hospital accounts– The Count & I lunched with Lady Helen Vincent to meet Lord & Lady Lytton. He much resembles his father in face. She is a pretty little woman & seems intelligent—is dark & picturesque. On leaving we found a sudden bora blowing so we preferred to walk & went to some antiquity shops wh the Count wanted to visit. Several people came to tea—Hilda Trevelyan who is here painting, Miss Head, Mr Curtis, Mrs Hunter &c.
