21 October 1904 — Ragusa | |
Friday. 21st [October 1904]. Walked out with the gentlemen & Mr Kennedy & I sat a long while at a café talking over his projects. I advised him to be patient & dignified & not to be revengeful, however badly the F.O. may treat him. After lunch we drove down to Gravosa, took leave of Mr Kennedy who will be in London in Decr & went on board the Graf Wurmbrand (Mr Montalba & I) & started back to Trieste. At Spalato we had ½ hour to spare & drove to see the gt Roman amphitheatre wh is very fine. We reached Trieste on | |
