30 March 1905 — Venice
Thursday. 30th [March 1905]. Woke with fever—& remained in bed. As the fever increased I thought it wiser to send for Dr Sacchi who gave me doses of quinine & told me to stay in bed. Bss Reinelt paid me a visit. I wrote letters & read. The Murray party had arranged to leave here today but Betty not being well Alice alone left & Virginia remained with the 2 girls. I telegraphed to Miss D. Hay asking her to send out another nurse for the hospital as a Dr Hort who has come to settle here wishes to send us patients to the Cos: Hos: & wants one to send out to Hotels.
