1 March 1906 — Grimsthorpe, Nuwara Eliya | |
Thursday. 1st March [1906]. I stayed late in bed to rest. Nela went out in the morning early to the jungle with Dr & Mrs Travers—she a niece of Barbara’s. B & I lunched at 11. Nela returned for 4 o’cl tea after which we took a drive round what is called the Moon plains. There was a little dinner party. Dr & Mrs Travers, Mrs Ross (another niece of B’s), Mr Hurst a neighbour & a Col. . | |
