8 January 1907 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 8th [January 1907]. Found a Christmas present had been sent to me here from our Queen– A small revolving book case to stand on a table. It is painted & embroidered & spangled, very pretty & light. I had to take to my bed again this week with another feverish attack. My brother Monty came to see me each morning—bringing me remedies and books to read. Constance also came altho’ by no means well after her attack of influenza wh has pulled her down immensely.
