21 June 1909 — Mezzaratta, Bologna | |
Monday. 21st [June 1909]. I left Mezzaratta & went to Venice by the morng train getting home about 2. In the evening I went to the Hospital where the matron had got up a little fête & invited all the English. The garden was lighted with Chinese lantern & the Eden’s garden & his friend played the guitar & mandolin which made it quite festive. There were a good many of the Eng: colony there besides others. | |
