Tuesday. 29th [June 1909]. The Genl fetched me in the afternoon & took me out in his gondola. We went to the Piazza & had tea at Lavernas– I had my last reception this evening to wh came Mrs Akers Taylors, her sister & M. Carnbon besides Ersilia Canevaro, Css Costanza Mocenigo, the Humphery Johnstons &c. I took leave of them all as I leave for Carlsbad on Saty next. | |
