8 July 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 8th [July 1910]. I finished correcting the proofs of my mother’s Ceramic Journals & sent them off to London. After lunch Princess Giovanelli & her mother Countess Serago called for me & I took them over to Giudecca to show them the Cos: Hospital with which they were delighted & I must say it looked very bright & pretty with vases of flowers in every room & the garden with pergolas & grapes hangg. They went back thence to Venice & I remained on to tea with the Eden’s in their garden—from there I went to the Piazza & walked home. It is still quite cold for July 68º only.
