19 March 1911 — Cairo | |
Sunday. 19th [March 1911]. A tossy night & I was glad to be in my berth till the afternoon when the sea became smooth & I was rested from my shock when I got up abt 4. After this we had a splendidly calm passage & sat all day on deck & went to all our meals. Found there was on board with us Sir Rob. & Lady Fulton whom I had known in India– The Whitaker party & Mr G. Biddulph & his boy Roundell travelled by the same boat & we all sat at the same table for meals also Mr C. Arbuthnot. The Cleopatra reached Venice on | |
