2 May 1911 — Paris | |
Tuesday. 2nd [May 1911]. at 7.20 a.m. Got to Hotel St Romain just before Baker. Rested till 11– Lunch at 1 & then went to the dressmaker Michaud who has now made for me about 40 years. We walked on the boulevard & came in at 5. It is just as well that we had not arrived here Monday as there was a row on the Champs Elysée between the work folk & the troops. Today all is quiet. | |
