11 May 1911 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 11th [May 1911]. Canon Ragg came to see me in the afternoon being in town for a few hours from Tickencote. Very pleased to meet again & talked much about mutual friends at Venice. There was a heavy thunderstorm & some rain. Drove out at 5.30 with Charlie Wyld & Eda round the Park which was nice after the shower. Up to Cavendish Square & found the Bessboro’ in & after a little talk with them walked home with Eda. My sister Constance dined with us & brought her daughter Bee & her husband Stephen Eaton whom I had never met before. He is a good looking man but a tremendous cripple from rheumatism & moves with difficulty leaning on 2 sticks.
