| 26 September 1911 — Salce, Belluno | |
| Tuesday. 26th [September 1911]. In beautiful & quite hot weather I left my good friends & returned home to Venice by the morning train getting their by 3 o’cl. Found a note from Pss Polignac to say she would come this evening if I received. So I went out after tea & left her word that I should be happy to do so– She came bringing a nephew Baron de Gabriac & Mr Hulton & his daughter also came—so a few people are coming to Venice & the scare of cholera will gradually die out. | |
