11 July 1912 — Mezzaratta, Bologna | |
Thursday. 11th [July 1912]. I breakfasted at 8 with Lord Kitchener & Fitz. Donna Laura was not up & the Fraticello had slept in town & was to meet them at the station. Lord K. gave me a cheque to pay his furniture & I made notes of other things he asked me to look for for him—then at 8.30 they went off in the motor to the station for London & all the fun was over & it seemed very quiet. I sat out with Da Laura on the terrace & in the garden– Quiet day. | |
