Wednesday. 24th [July 1912]. Little to record. At 5 I went to St Marks & then fetched Mr Wilson the sculptor & took him in gondola to Campo S. Margherita to the studio of Sig. & Sigra Tamburlini—as Mr Wilson also does metal work & wd appreciate Sig. T’s work. He says it is very good but would be better if he would “let himself go” & not keep so rigidly to Byzantine style—the same criticisms also apply to Sigra T’s work. Dined at 7.30 & early to bed. | |
