4 January 1862 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Saturday. 4th January [1862]. This is a most lovely day, the best we have had since we returned from the Isle of Wight. Maria came over in the eveng. Temmy returned to luncheon, she had been away a week– I went over to see Mrs Cameron with Mrs Layard but she was not at home to Mrs Layard– Played backgammon with Mrs Layard in the eveng while Connie played the piano– | |
