Sunday. 5th January [1862]. Was down rather earlier than usual & went to St Johns church with Miss Kemble. Mr Summer preached & took his text from Isaiah 38.11 verse– It rained this afternoon & we could not go to Church in the afternoon– Chatted with Mrs Layard in the eveng– | |
