16 March 1862 — Exeter House, Roehampton
Sunday. 16th [March 1862]. Very foggy morng had a fly to go to church. Mr Henley preached—text                beautiful extempore sermon. Connie did not go to church had such a bad headache & cold– Luncheon at 1½. Mr Layard came down at 2½ and had some luncheon. Had a fly at 3 oclock & went over to Richmond (Mr L, Connie, Blanche & self) to see Kitty found K at home but Mia & Rd gone to church, had tea and fun, returned home at 5½– Dinner at 7. Connie & I played Beethoven after dinner & Mr Layard stayed until 10– Margaret was very unwell all day & rather worse tonight—bed at 11– Mr Lay: promised me some autographs–
