22 March 1862 — Exeter House, Roehampton
Saturday. 22nd [March 1862]. Very late for breakfast. Practised in the morning and wrote to the M. Went to Richd in the sociable at 2 oclock found Mrs Norman & little Charlotte there paying a visit. Mrs N. left at about 5 and then I went out for a walk with Maria. Alice had a little cough but otherwise quite well. Kate & her baby were still there and both of them better. Came home to dinner at 7½– Miss Buthold came in from next door for an hour in the eveng. Went to bed at 10 but I did not get to sleep until 3½ in morng.
