26 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Saturday. 26th [July 1862]. Rather late for breakfast, found a plan for going to Bournemouth– I printed till it was time to go– We started at abt 12 and I went in the sociable with Ecca, B, & baby. We all bathed immediately on arriving and then had lunch. It was not very comfortable as the sand got into everything and the sun was so hot it spoiled the treat. We went to the reading room & got some books then started home at abt 4—we had tea in the hall. Connie went to singing. I & Bloss played croquet. | |
