25 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Friday. 25th [July 1862]. Got up pretty early but as Bloss came and stayed in my room I did not get down till they had all finished breakfast. I and Bloss went to the kitchen garden in the morng & then sat under the old weeping willow or tent tree till luncheon time– When we came in we found them at luncheon. Kate & Con: went out riding & Blanche & Cecil in the Whitechapel to Kinson—they came home to luncheon. I went up & printed till 5 oclock—and then had 5 oclock tea and wrote letters. I again went up & set up a page before dinner– After dinner Connie played & Bloss & I sat and talked future plans etc– I then went & struck off a proof and then went to bed at 11– | |
