28 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 28th [July 1862]. I took Bloss up to the printing room. We printed till lunch. I, Ecca, Con. & Bloss drove in the sociable to Poole. We did some commissions for Kate & got home at abt 6. We stopped at Mrs Pynes and had tea out in the garden—it was lovely– Mrs Rawlins came towards the end so we departed. At dinner there came a telegram to say Arthur & Monty were comg also that FEB was not coming the next day, the boys walked in in the middle of dinner & I played with Arthur a duet on the french horn. He then sang & Monty also– The M sent us off at 11½– | |
