29 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 29th [July 1862]. Got up at 6½ AM. & printed till breakfast– Then printed all day till 5 only stopping for lunch. I had some tea & then went and played with baby. Montie hurt his finger very much with a croquet ball which put him in great pain– FEB & her party arrived at about 7½. We heard at dinner that both Ivory & Monty were expected by mail train– Went to bed at 11½. I did up Bloss’ & Kates hair– Kate came & slept a little with me but I was too sleepy to pay any attention to her—finished a no. of the Portland Times– | |
