2 August 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Saturday. 2nd [August 1862]. The M. came in before I was up to say I might go in the yacht. There was a cricket match between Mr Callemean’s 11 and the Wimborne, but they came & played it here. The Wimborne beat– FEB, Montie & I drove into Wim: in Luffs poney carriage and bought serge dresses. We saw Mr Adye in the town. We were home to luncheon– After luncheon we went to watch the cricket. Mr & Mrs & Miss Ker Seymer came over and stayed about an hour. I went to tea at the Pynes– I was late for dinner—we had some talk in eveng & went to bed 11– Kate came– | |
