12 September 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Friday. 12th [September 1862]. Today the Canford Club played Hampreston & beat them very hard. We all went in the boat as the day before with Ivor & Mr Ashley and sang all the way home and up the avenue till we reached the smoking room. I & Mr Corry printed the previous days score in the morng & Elizabeth finished it. We had a game of billiards in the eveng wh was remarkable for its noisiness, and we also had singing– | |
