28 December 1862 — Uffington House, nr. Stamford, Lincolnshire | |
Sunday. 28th [December 1862]. Twice to church & very good sermons which upset me very much & made me feel very lonely & miserable. After afternoon church we walked up & down the long walk & after dinner we all had tracts & after prayers at 10 went up to bed– Just as I was going off to bed I found B & C in Beckies room & Fel: comg in we danced “The Cure” & B stole cold plum pudding from the nursery– | |
