9 March 1863 — Exeter House, Roehampton
Monday. 9th [March 1863]. I wrote to Miss Holland to say I shd not go with her to the drawing class so in the morng I finished the visiting list and after lunch I practised singing till 3– At 3½ we 3 girls set out with the M. for town. We went in the open carriage and found it very cold, we did several commissions and then went at 7½ to the Aldersons. The carriage put up & we went up to Blossetts room and got a little food & at 9 began our practising (Mr Ernest Bunsen, Miss Dodgeworth, Miss Trilton, Messrs Thomsons & Alderson besides some others were singing). We sang till 10½ when we drove home and went immediately to bed.
