20 December 1863 — Linton Park, nr. Maidstone, Kent | |
Sunday. 20th [December 1863]. We went to Church and walked in the garden till luncheon. After lunch we went up to see Lady H’s private sitting room & while sitting there Mary F. fainted—but being better I left her & went to Church. After Ch: we went for a long walk and got home to 5 T. Mary was much better. After dinner a little music & early to bed. A pitched battle between me & the Bart abt Marys coming to my room. | |
