6 June 1864 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 6th [June 1864]. Ivor, Arthur & Blanche went off early to Cowes to see “The Campanera” a yacht wh Ivor bought today. I was very late as Penny went out & I dressed my self. Practised in the morng. After lunch I composed type till 3½, went out walking with Temmie. We called on the then enquired about Luff, called on Mrs White & went to call on the Pynes but found her out. We went to the kitchen garden & got some roses. Came home, had T on the lawn & sat talking till 7, when EK went to see Card & I to print. Ivor & Blanche did not come till after 9. I took EK out in Luffs poney trap to see Deane & Penneyton & home by Oakley. | |
