4 January 1865 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Wednesday. 4th [January 1865]. Down at ½ past 10 and went over to ask Maria to go to the theatre with me. I came home directly and wrote letters till lunch. After lunch I finished my letters and sent off 4 copies of the SHS. I practised singing for a little time & then Mrs Layard came to the schoolroom to sit with me. At 5 I went to T. with Maria & came home just in time for dinner. Schrei: came home from Ireland– I worked all the eveng & chatted with Grannie & bed at ¼ past 11– | |
