3 January 1865 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Tuesday. 3rd [January 1865]. I had breakfast in bed and got up with a bad headache. I went in to speak to Maria and had a few biscuits before I went to town in the carriage with Con: & the M. We went to call on Lady M. Ross but found her out & then to Langham House. I called at the Aldersons but found them out. Hill gave me a cup of cocoa and then I went on to shop while the M. & Con: measured the rooms of Langham Hse. I picked them up & did some more shopping and did not get home till nearly 8. Had dinner in my room with Connie who also had a bad head and went to bed quite early. | |
