24 January 1865 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 24th [January 1865]. A little better. I wrote “Carver” letters all the morng to Milton with Kate, 1st in the library & then in my room. Kate & Arthur left at 2. I continued to write all the afternoon & Blanche came in & had tea with me. I did not go to dinner—to bed early. Snow all day. | |
