23 January 1865 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 23rd [January 1865]. Mary & Sir S, Lady E. & Miss P & Henry Layard went by the 10 train. Mrs C. Forbes her husband & Maria went by the 1 train and at 3 F: Kate & Blanche walked to the Station with the Damers, Mr Hambro & the Villain. Susan & Alice Gurney drove to the station & Monty & C. Gurney drove to Blandford. Blan: & Kate took the brougham on to Wimborne & I walked home, calling 1st on Mrs Hayes at the end of the drive & then on Mrs Allen. I came in & had T in my room. I was not well & did not go to dinner. I slept with Kate. | |
