27 March 1869 — Freshwater | |
Saturday. 27th [March 1869]. Cold day. After writing letters we drove to Norton to luncheon & found besides Lady Hamond her 2 daughters Miss H & Mrs Grosvenor Hood, & a son “Andrew” son of the present Bart: After lunch Mrs G.H. showed us some of her lovely sketches & before we left a violent snow storm came on, so that we drove home thro’ ½ inch of snow. It soon melted away but continued a wet eveng. | |
