31 March 1869 — Freshwater | |
Wednesday. 31st [March 1869]. We went to Mrs Cameron to be photod & lunched there. It was a very dull day for photography. We stayed so long with Mrs C. that we had rather a scramble to rush to the Hotel & dress & go off to dine at Farringford, but luckily found we were in good time on arriving. Sir J. Simeon & Miss Simeon & Mr Jowett at dinner. Capt. Speedy came in the evening. A:T: was in high force & carried off Hy & Sir J:S: to smoke in the eveng. On our way home we stopped at Mrs Camerons & bid her goodbye & she gave us some of her beautiful photos. | |
