12 August 1869 — 21 Grafton Street | |
Thursday. 12th August 1869. Started at 10 o’cl from Charing X. Had a very fair passage to Boulogne. Met on board Mr & Mrs Eustace Smith who are bound for Florence. We arrived at Paris at 8 and found M. Antoine at the station to meet us and get our luggage for us. We found supper awaiting us and just at the end we heard voices on the stairs wh Hy recognized & he went out & fetched in Sir Alex. Gordon & Mrs Ross & also Mr Tom Bruce. They sat with us a few minutes & then they departed & we were glad to get to bed. | |
