30 October 1869 — 21 Grafton Street | |
Saturday. 30th [October 1869]. We went down to Aldermaston & on train met with Gertrude Jekyll. We got there at 5 and found Mrs Nassau Senior & Mr Henry Cole C.B. arrived. Sir Robt Collier arrived while we were at dinner. Mrs Senior sang in the evening. We also had Sir Roderick Murchison staying in the house but he had a bad cold and was not very lively. | |
