28 November 1869 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 28th [November 1869]. We went to church at the Legation at ½ past 11 & afterwards I went over the house wh seems to be in a hopelessly dirty state & containing no scrap of furniture & Mr Ffrench is still living in a part of it. | |
