Monday. 17th [January 1870]. Henry & I drove in the afternoon & took a walk in the Fuente & saw a good many people. We had some people to dinner viz: Le Comte & Css Karnicky, Comte & Css Nava de Tajo (niece of Mme Montijo), Messrs Ff: & Ashburnham, Marquis de Gonzaga and Mr Silvela; several people came in the eveng viz M & Mdme Figuera & their daughter who plays the piano most wonderfully &c &c Cerruti, . | |
