Saturday. 22nd [January 1870]. I got up late having breakfasted in bed. In the eveng we dined with the Bauers. Señ. Llorente took me in—a very agreeable man who speaks French well. We also met the Counts of Fuenrubia, Senr: Nicholas & Mme B’s sister & B in law the Cohens. After dinner a few men dropped in. | |
