16 February 1870 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 16th [February 1870]. Got up rather late. I did not go out as it was a dull day, at 4 o’cl had a visit from Mr Arragon & then arrived Cerruti & soon after the 2 Prim children who had come to spend the afternoon. Also Mme de Comyn’s little boy & the French Amb.’s eldest (Brosé). At ½ past 4 we had tea & during tea the 3 little children of the Marquis l’Acapulco & Mme Riaño & her boy Juanito came so there were 8 in all. Cerruti kindly helped to amuse them & we had all kind of games & the children were very happy till 7 when we went to dinner & the children departed. | |
