30 March 1870 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 30th [March 1870]. It was very cold again & the Wind still E. so that I would not go out and Mr S. also stayed at home. At abt 4 Mme de Canitz came to call with her cousin Miss Clifford. They returned from the Escurial on Monday driven away by the snow & cold. The Hunts dined with us & we had a deal of singing duets &c. | |
