27 November 1870 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 27th [November 1870]. Mr Whyte sent word he was not well eno’ to have a service so Car & I sat chatting all the morning & in afternoon I & Adeline took a drive & picked up Henry on the Fuente & brought him home. At 5 we had a visit from Mme Ochoa & her daughter & then from Mme Aylton & her 2 girls. Messrs Sey. Go & Ash & Ffrench dined with us & after dinner the Aylton girls & the Riaños came in & Adeline played the piano. | |
