3 December 1870 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 3rd [December 1870]. Wrote all the morning for Henry. After lunch we all drove to the Retiro & took a walk & showed Arthur the Zoos. At 5 Isabel Madrazo came to call– At 6 I had a lesson of Inz: & he stayed & dined. Mr Ffrench dined. Messrs Go & Spen: came in & we had some music & glee singing in the evening. Today Adeline & I began to read Schiller’s “Don Carlos” together. | |
