Sunday. 4th [December 1870]. Mr Whyte still ill & no service. Adeline & I began to read Schiller’s “Don Carlos” together. After lunch we drove Arthur & Mr Goschen to the bull ring– Messrs Ash, Go, Sey & Spencer dined with us. | |
