13 February 1871 — Madrid | |
Monday. 13th [February 1871]. I expected Grau but he did not come till abt one & did not give me a lesson– After lunch I went out driving & took Mr Ff. we left a lot of cards & enquired after Mme de M. who is better & we took a turn in the Fuente. When we came in I rested till dinner & after dinner dressed. We had abt 300 people at our dance & kept up till 2½. | |
