5 June 1871 — Madrid | |
Monday. 5th [June 1871]. I was practising in the morning when Henry came & said his face was aching so he should like a leech– He sent for one & it relieved him. At 4 o’cl: I went out & took Lady Franklin and her niece for a drive in the Casa de Campo. It was rather cold so we did not stay long. When I returned I found Mr Ff with Henry & he went away & said he would come back to dinner. In the evening only M. de Martino & Dragonetti came—there was a party at Sickles which took away from ours. | |
