Monday. 5th February [1872]. A damp unpleasant English kind of day. Henry & I drove in the afternoon & called to enquire how Mr Whyte was– He was better. I also went to see Eliz: wh is getting daily better. When I came home Mme de C. came to see me– We went to Miss Sickles last ball—but stayed a very short time– | |
