4 February 1872 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 4th [February 1872]. We went to church—but at the end of the prayers old Mr Whyte was taken faint & had to go out so the service was curtailed. We went to the last of the Quartett Concerts at 2. A tremendous crowd & very hot & afterwards I went to see Eliz & found her much better. The Seces—Hunts, Pal: Gay: & Lord St Asaph dined with us– Mr Ff did not dine. | |
