8 February 1872 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 8th [February 1872]. I drove out in afternoon & went to see Eliz: but I had rather a headache. At 5 Mme Manzanera called & I asked her to bring her child to our childs’ bal costumé on 17th– The Ayltons also came in. The Ettlings gave a ball today which I hoped to go to but my head got worse & I had to go to bed directly after dinner– | |
