Monday. 22nd [April 1872]. A very cold day & I did not stir out. Dss Fernan Nuñez, Morets, Bouillés, Baron de Gary (a friend of Mr A. Russell) dined with us & afterwards a few people came but there were not very many; we had some very nice music– Adl le Marquis de Montaignac (Mme Vernouillet’s father) dined with us; he is a charming old gentleman– | |
